Skills Link Program

Offered by the First Nations Education Council (FNEC), in association with Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada's New Paths - ICT Program, the Skills Link Program is designed to give youth between the ages of 18 to 30 the opportunity to obtain relevant work experience in the field of information and communications technologies (ICT). This program is also aimed at supporting communities to provide an innovative learning experience that will interest their youth and foster their participation.

Please note that due to insufficient registrations, we have extended the deadline for applications to June 28, 2013. Applications will be evaluated and selected according to the Skills Link Program guidelines outlined in this document. Communities are eligible to receive funding for one youth worker.

To apply for this program, communities must fill out the Proposal Application Form and submit no later than June 28, 2013. Please contact Jane Hicks or Tim Whiteduck at 418-842-7672 should you have any questions on this program.
