ICT Skills Link Program

Offered by the First Nations Education Council (FNEC), in association with Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada's First Nations and Inuit Youth Employment Strategy is designed to give youth between the ages of 18 to 30 the opportunity to obtain relevant work experience in the field of information and communications technologies (ICT). This program is also aimed at supporting communities to provide an innovative learning experience that will interest their youth and foster their participation.

All proposals are evaluated and participants are selected based on the National Program guidelines, as indicated in the general information section of the program from the FNEC. Admissible communities receive notice of funding to hire a youth to work in the community.

To apply for this program, communities must fill out the Electronic Proposal Form and return via email. Please contact Jane Hicks or Tim Whiteduck at 418-842-7672 should you have any questions on this program.
