Professional Development

The Professional Development program is an initiative that was launched in 2004-2005 to support the communities' activities in personnel recruitment, retention and professional development. The funding allocated for the program can be used to help teachers and educational personnel obtain certification or take a course through continuing education. One component of the program focuses on recruitment activities and the promotion of teaching as a career. The program also provides possible activities for supporting new teachers, such as mentoring and pedagogical supervision.
