The Educational Services Team is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of work plans with the specific purpose of realizing the mandates that are issued by the General Assembly. In close collaboration with the FNEC member communities, consultation and research support progress in all related files. Furthermore, the Educational Services Team provides support and assistance to our member communities with respect to their individual educational information needs.
In order to achieve our responsibilities, the Educational Services Team keeps updated on developments at the regional and national level. Through participation in various working groups and collaborative efforts with external organizations, we strive to have a positive effect on the progress of key education files.
Specifically, the Educational Services Team:
Responds to member community requests for educational support, assistance, and information in the following areas:
- Special Education Services
- Quebec Education Program implementation
- Project development and implementation
- Professional development and training programs
- Educational materials selection
Contributes to special file development and projects
- Band school funding formula research and development
- Vocational education programs
- Secondary School reform implementation
- Special Education Individualized Education Program database
- Online networking environment for community educators
- Educational reference documents and sample policy development
