Teacher Symposium: Celebrating our Success!

On April 27 & 28, the Kitigan Zibi Kikinamadinan proudly hosted a First Nations Teacher Symposium—the first of its kind within the province. The event allowed Educators to share ideas and best practices for incorporating Anishinabe culture within the education system, and network with other teachers to celebrate the success of hard-working and dedicated First Nation educators. details

I'M INVOLVED! Conference

fnec - Parental and Community Involvement Awareness

Last November 24 and 25 in Saint-Sauveur, the FNEC held the first edition of its I’M INVOLVED! Conference on parental and community involvement. Sixteen FNEC-member communities were represented by over sixty participants in addition to the dozen members of the FNEC’s organizing committee present on site. The goal of this conference was to mobilize parents to encourage and strengthen parental involvement within the family and the community.
