Meetings, workshops and/or conferences intended to the parents and the community (example: setting up school-family partnerships, information sharing, awareness-building activities, development of parental aptitudes, homework help, etc.)
Home visits (example: visit of Facilitators or Para- professionals to inform parents about the child’s educational development needs and how to positively contribute to this educational development.
Support for activities that promote the integration of traditional knowledge in the school and home learning environnement.
Activities to highlight the importance of screening for detection of any special education needs a child may have.
Activities to build the awareness of parents (example: the importance of medical examinations, of good audition, vision, dentition, of vaccinations, healthy diets, hygiene, etc.)
