  • Since its foundation, the FNEC has received requests from its member communities for training.
  • The communities cannot by themselves cater for the crucial needs of their members as regards diversified trainings.

To take on a role of leader and model in regards to the development and implementation of organizational policies supporting the governance of First Nations.

  • The FNEC was one of the first organizations to be created by the communities.
  • FNEC organizational and governance policies have been adopted by several other First Nations organizations and thus serve as a guide for the development of community policies.
  • Regular development of new policies and regular updating of existing policies are essential to ensure the effective management of the FNEC and to keep abreast of the latest standards.
  • The promotion of FNEC policies and access to them can guide communities and afford them substantial savings for their development.
